TowBoatU.S. Fort Lauderdale, a South Florida based marine towing, commercial charter and launch Company added a new member to its sales and marketing team; Business Development Representative, John W. Smith. TowBoatU.S. Fort Lauderdale is proud to welcome Mr. Smith, a dynamic professional who will help guide the Company's continued growth.

As Business Development Representative at TowBoatU.S. Fort Lauderdale, John is charged with all facets of business development and marketing for each of the company's divisions. John brings over 15 years of combined maritime sales and marketing experience. Most recently, John was the Advertising Sales Manager with New Wave Media, publishers of Maritime Reporter, Marine News and Marine Technology Reporter. While at New Wave Media John was successful in developing relationships worldwide in a variety of maritime/marine markets from SubSea, Oil & Gas and research, to traditional commercial maritime markets.
In addition to John's civilian professional career, he served in the United States Coast Guard as a Law Enforcement Officer Boarding small to medium size vessels in the 1980's. During his tenure John received several Coast Guard commendations.
TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale was founded in 1989 by Larry Acheson. The company operates from three ports providing towing and assistance to boaters in all of Southeast Florida and the Bahamas. TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale also offers commercial Charter and Launch Services as well as a skilled Yacht Towing and Assistance Division. The company operates 12 vessels ranging in size from 26' to 96'. Its varied equipment enables the company to respond efficiently to any situation and customers benefit from a professional, experienced crew available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Your guys did a great job on our charter at Port Canaveral. We had rough weather, major schedule changes, and other challenges, but never heard a single compliant. Adrian, Brendan, Tom, Ben, and Zach all were right on the spot when we needed the crane or captain or another boat movement. And the food... that was the best run of good food I think I've ever has in my life! Every single meal was both healthy and delicious.
