TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale received a report of an 82' Hatteras on fire behind a house in Ft. Lauderdale. Crews immediately responded via land and water. The vessel's fire was extinguished by Fire Rescue. TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale immediately deployed absorbent and containment boom to control pollution. The Salvage Team worked for two days to refloat the casualty and secure it for towing. The vessel was towed to a Marine facility in Ft. Lauderdale for emergency haul out.
Your guys did a great job on our charter at Port Canaveral. We had rough weather, major schedule changes, and other challenges, but never heard a single compliant. Adrian, Brendan, Tom, Ben, and Zach all were right on the spot when we needed the crane or captain or another boat movement. And the food... that was the best run of good food I think I've ever has in my life! Every single meal was both healthy and delicious.
